Description: | My name is Joanie Lemercier, I'm a french visual artist and I run the visual label: AntiVJ. The focus of my work is the use of projected light into the real world, and its influence on our perception. We do architectural projections, installations, stage design and audiovisual performances on stage. You can find an extended portfolio of my work, and also of the other artists of the label, on www.antivj.com We've presented our work in electronic music festivals, public spaces (architectural projections) and in galleries (installations) across Europe, South America, Canada, US and Asia. pictures below: New Songdo city (South Korea), Nuit Blanche Bruxelles (Belgium), Breda cathedral (NL), Onedotzero at BFI London (UK) I am in NYC until the end of March, for an exhibition at Muriel Guépin gallery (47 bergen street brooklyn, ny 11201), where I'm showing three projection mapping pieces until April 15. I had a chance to show a piece at Scope during the armory show, and to do a talk at ITP-Tish, New York University, and considering the feedback received over the past weeks, I was looking for an opportunity to organize another event, and was lucky enough to be invited by Eyebeam to do a talk next week. The presentation will be about AntiVJ as a label, about our most recent projects (permanent mapping installation on a Unesco site), our intense R&D activity and software development. I will also do a live demo of our recent 3D scan + instant mapping experiments, and this will be followed by a Q&A. I would like to invite you to the event: date: Thursday March 28th, 6PM venue: Eyebeam (Chelsea, Manhattan, NYC) More information: http://eyebeam.org/events/artist-talk-joanie-lemercier-antivj Feel free to get back to me if you have any question, and I hope to see you there. Best, Joanie -- twt: @JoanieLemercier @AntiVJ |
