LoNyLa welcomes Wendy Windle (London) and Michael Lopez (Los Angeles) as Producers.

Velocity Lab, Fall 2012 to be announced soon.
This cross-border collaborative programme involves the development of new work in five cities - London, New York, Los Angeles, Hong Kong and Singapore. Projects will span stage plays, screenplays and telepilots.



Member Update: LoNyLa LA Director Sue Hamilton on location for "Livin' the Dream," a new TV pilot by Noel Orput. The pilot was developed in the Set Ablaze Series, which featured Sally Kirkland, Alison Arngrim, Robert Torti, Mikhail Orberts, Amol Shah, Will Vought and John Kayton.

Member Update: LoNyLa NY actor Teddy Canez makes his Broadway debut in "Streetcar Named Desire," directed by Emily Mann. Teddy worked on British writer Nicholas McInerny's new play "LazyEYE" in Spring Lab 2011.

Member Update: LoNyLa NY writer Ken Urban will receive a production of his new play, "The Correspondent," at the Rattlestick Theater (NYC). LoNyLa London handled one leg of the play's development (Set Ablaze Series), featuring Brandee Tucker, Michael Steger and Jonathan Wrather in lead roles. London AD Wilson Milam directed. TimeWave Update: Norwegian director, Henning Hegland, joins the festival. Hegland is in early devising process for Ping Chong’s newest work, "Murmurs of the Earth."


Focus: LoNyLa/TimeWave writer Jerome Parker (Emerging Writers Group 2011, Public Theater NYC) writes on TimeWave for the Public Theater's blog - see "Adventures in Webcasting."

TimeWave Update: Vikram Iyengar, Artistic Director of Rana Group (Kolkata, India) joins TimeWave.

Member Update: LoNyLa LA actor JOE HOLT speaks from experience in "Diversify the Entire Industry" in the New York Times.


TimeWave Update: Oscar ("Moonstruck') and Pulitzer Prize ("Doubt") winner JOHN PATRICK SHANLEY joins the festival as Honorary Chairperson. John is from the Bronx. He was thrown out of St. Helena’s kindergarten. He was banned from St. Anthony’s hot lunch program for life. He was expelled from Cardinal Spellman High School. He was placed on academic probation by New York University and instructed to appear before a tribunal if he wished to return. When asked why he had been treated in this way by all these institutions, he burst into tears and said he had no idea. Then he went into the United States Marine Corps. He did fine. He’s still doing okay.


TimeWave Update: Award-winning playwright JOHN GUARE also joins the festival as Honorary Chairperson. He has been lauded as one of the most successful American playwrights of the last third of the twentieth century. He has won three Obie (Off-Broadway) Awards, New York Drama Critics Circle Awards, Antoinette Perry (Tony) Awards, Drama Desk Awards, the New York Film Critics Award, the Los Angeles Film Critics Award, the Outer Critics Circle Award, and has received an Academy Award nomination.


TimeWave Update: CHAS COWING joins the Board of Directors. Chas is President of Access Talent. Formed in 1999, it is New York’s premier talent agency for Voice Over and the Spoken Word.
